How should these two things connect?
FixLab is an iOS prototype for everyday DIY projects. It starts with the materials being joined and their intended use, then helps users understand relevant connection categories and what still needs checking.
Prototype capabilities
- A guided flow through materials, context, and candidate joining categories.
- Searchable product information with sources and limitations.
- A personal workshop inventory for supplies, quantities, condition, and notes.
- Local storage for inventory and an unfinished planning session.
Current stage
An early prototype with a limited set of supported situations. Its outputs are category guidance and verification steps, not installation-ready designs. Structural and other safety-sensitive work requires a verified system and appropriate review. The source code is not public, and no public download is offered here.
